In recent years, Valparaiso port has become busier, and there is no longer room for all of the cruise ships, so they have also started to stop in San Antonio. Every Year people has made mistakes assuming they were leaving from Valparaiso and due to changes or weather or high tide, they change the Disembarking or Boarding Port and they end up booking the wrong accommodation or transfers, so check your details carefully to be sure you are at the correct port.

Valparaiso VTP Cruise Ship Terminal
Once you get your driver, make sure he knows where the actual terminal drop off location is, Our English Speaking Driver and CEO Gonzalo, has seen multiple times passengers being dropped off in “Terminal Estación” where visually the passengers are REALLY CLOSE to the terminal, but the main problem is that DUE TO MAINTENANCE AND REMODELATION WORK at the Port, there’s NO PEDESTRIAN ACCESS to the actual building. SO, THE ONLY WAY TO GO IN COMFORTABLY IS BY CAR, but the driver would have to know how to access and navigate his way into the dock and to the actual car access of the Cruise Ship Terminal.
San Antonio
San Antonio is a little bit easier to approach. But this terminal keeps another obstable for drivers such as Uber, Didi and other Ride Share Applications, because during the high holiday season, San Antonio is a NEST of COPS waiting for unexperienced drivers to fall right into their IMPOUND TRAP. If you take an Uber, you might save a couple of bucks but you might be victim of a highly unpleasant and uncomfortable situation. PLEASE DONT BE SCARED: YOU WONT BE IN ANY KIND OF PROBLEMS WITH THE POLICE, BUT IF YOU DON’T ANSWER THE INTERROGATION OF THE POLICE OFFICER, THE CAR OF YOUR DRIVER WILL BE IMPOUNDED. This is why is so important to get a English Speaking, Professional Driver (link explaining this issue), with the appropiate permits to offer the service and the experience to avoid all of this little obstacles that can make your transportation service a small nightmare.
